Achilles moved to the United States from Portoviejo Rock City - Ecuador, in South America, in November 2007.
Already being an avid vocalist and guitar player, and having indulged in Latin, Bolero, Salsa and music native to his country, he desired to continue to pursue his love for music in general. Since 2010 he has been singing with successful local bands that led him to open slots and share the stage with national acts such as Colombia's salsa music pioneer 'Fruko y sus Tesos', Eric Martin (Mr. Big), Adler's Appetite, Bang Tango, L.A. Guns, Faster Pussycat, Hollywood Roses, The Iron Maidens, Hairball, Jeff Scott Soto, Mike Tramp (White Lion), Kip Winger and so on. His acoustic performance is very unique and diverse since Achilles sings fluently in 4 different languages; he has a wide repertoire of great songs along with his original material. His versatility in styles of music, impressive vocal range and charisma is what makes him different from any other performer around the area.
At the end of 2011, Achilles started his own 12 piece salsa band, Manabi (mahn-ah-BEE) which was formed from a small idea. Manabi is proud to be the first and only local salsa band in Northern Colorado.
