Josh Vogeler is a singer/songwriter, guitarist, and drummer based in Fort Collins, Colorado.
Josh Vogeler is a folk song farmer based in Fort Collins, Colorado. He has embraced a 10-string acoustic guitar as his primary instrument, though his formal musical training was as a drummer. Percussively using his fingers on the strings and body he creates earthy melodies with underlying syncopated rhythms. Passion for nature and adventure are reflected in Josh's spirited lyrics. While claiming 'Folk' as a style, his influences can be traced into the soulful essence of Punk, Psychedelic Rock, Hip-Hop, Bluegrass and Reggae.
Growing up in St. Louis, Missouri, Josh performed in marching band drumlines, concert choirs, percussion ensembles, musical theatre, bluegrass circles, tribal drum circles, rave dj accompaniment, coffee shops, and all sorts of gigging bar bands. He has been performing around Northern Colorado since 2002. Josh played full drum kit with The Holler! from 2008-2012 contributing songs on two albums, Road To Gemini and Gratitude. He has sat in on percussion with national acts such as The White Rabbits, Driftwood Fire, Te' V Smith, Genetics, members of Dark Star Orchestra and Leftover Salmon. As a traveler of the Americas, Josh has jammed with small town locals from Argentina to Alaska, bridging language barriers with music.
