The Rocky Bards
The ROCKY BARDS are NOT A BAND!
The ROCKY BARDS are a group of dedicated Celtic musicians and singers that get together once a year under the leadership of Ken Morgan to put on a concert in or around the month of November for the Wounded Warrior Project.
The group first came together in November 2011. From 2011 to 2015, the Rocky Bards performed at the Trinity Episcopal Church, Greeley. In 2016, due to the growth in popularity, a second performance was added at the Fort Collins Lincoln Center.
In addition to the two performances for the Wounded Warrior Project in 2016, the group also performed at The Pikes Peak Celtic Festival in Colorado Springs and in December of 2016, some members of the group had the great honor of performing with the Loveland Choral Society for their Christmas Production 'Christmas in America'.
In June of 2017, the Rocky Bards returned to the stage for two performances at the Pikes Peak Celtic Fest. in Colorado Springs.
For the remainder of 2017, the group will be playing at the FORT COLLINS LINCOLN CENTER on October 29th and the second performance will be at THE RIALTO THEATER, LOVELAND on November 18th. This will be the group's first performance at this elegant and beautifully restored 1920s Loveland theater.
All the musicians freely give their time and all proceeds go directly to the Wounded Warrior Project.
Finally, some of the musicians and singers play at a weekly Celtic Music Session at Lucky Joe's Saloon in Fort Collins every Wednesday evening from 7pm-9pm and in various local choral and drama groups.
