Colorado's Scott Von writes music at the crossroads where Roots Music meets American Soul and Folk. Stomping boots and stirring grooves from the Roots tradition, stripped down songs from the Folk tradition, Singing like an old Soul singer, and a stage show that inspires.
Scott entered the Americana/Roots scene in
early 2006 and began touring and writing
songs on the instrument he has fallen in love with - the sound of an acoustic guitar.
Two albums soon followed, "MOVING STONES and the "AGE OF PLENTY." Travels have taken him from festival stages, to intimate house concerts, college campuses, theatres, and clubs. He has opened for Chris Smither, Peter Mulvey, Tony Furtado, Tom Kimmel, Over the Rhine, the Samples, and has received glowing reviews from artists such as Vance Gilbert, Billy Jonas, Pat Flynn, Taylor Mesple, and Kreg Viesselman.
